2008 Tri-Cities Road Club Reimbursement Policy (revised 12/28/07)

 

Club Members

 

v     $15 annual membership fee

v     Clothing kit (shorts and/or jersey) available at cost 

 

Non Contract Race Team Members

 

v     $25 annual membership fee

v     Required to have an annual USCF license

v     Reimbursement for entry fees will be at 75% for all TBRA or USCF events, regardless of location

v     There will be a $500 annual limit on reimbursement per race team member (excluding clothing  kit)

v     Racers will be reimbursed for three races per weekend. (rev. 5-11-07).

v     Each race team member must earn 3 volunteer credits to receive reimbursement

v     1 clothing kit (shorts & jersey) will be reimbursed after participating in 6 sanctioned weekends (participating in every

v

v     event  for the weekend is encouraged, but not required)

v     Reimbursements will be made once per year at the end of your racing season. Example: If you start racing in April and stop in September and have raced in six weekends of racing and received your volunteer credits, you can then request reimbursement.

 

 

U-23 (Under 23) Race Team Members – same as Race Team Members except

 

v     No annual membership fee

v     The clothing kit will be given to U-23 members provided they are working toward or have completed their 6 sanctioned weekends (failure to complete the 6 weekends will result in forfeiture of team kit)

 

 

Junior Members – same as Race Team Members except

 

v     No annual membership fee

v     Reimbursement for entry fees will be at 100% for all TBRA or USCF events, regardless of location

v     The clothing kit will be given to juniors provided they are working toward or have completed their 6 sanctioned weekends (failure to complete the 6 weekends will result in forfeiture of team kit)

 

 

 

 

 

Volunteer Credits

 

v     A volunteer credit can be earned by being an officer of the club

v     A volunteer credit can be earned by actively helping with a TCRC event (setup, registration, marshaling)

v     A volunteer credit may be issued by the board of directors for other items that benefit the club and are similar in scope to the above items

 

 

Other (applies to all members)

 

v     10% – 15% discount at local bike shops (amounts and shops on membership card)

v     No reimbursements will be made for :

Late Fees

DNF (Did Not Finish), except if due to mechanical failure, being pulled off by an official, or crashing

DQ (Disqualified)

License Fees

Fees charged for on-line registration thru Active.com, BikeReg.com, etc.

v     The most current TCRC jersey must be worn at an event to be eligible for reimbursement for that event, except for TTs.  However, to be reimbursed for TT a TCRC skinsuit or jersey (prior year or current year) must be worn.

v     Membership fees must be submitted prior to an event to claim reimbursement for that event

v     Reimbursement checks must be claimed at TCRC meetings

v     Reimbursement checks will not be issued until the member has the required volunteer credit(s), or has signed up or committed to earn the volunteer credit(s) (helping with an event later in the year, etc.)

v     All members must supply documentation in order to receive reimbursement, such as canceled check, race result, receipt, etc.
