LOCAL RIDES*
*
Rides listed here are training rides and are not
sanctioned TCRC events. Rides are listed as a courtesy
for local riders seeking groups of other riders to ride
with. Riders need to be aware of open road conditions
and be courteous of automobile traffic. Cycling is an
inherently dangerous sport; participants assume full
responsibility for their own safety.
Saturday:
Rides
vary in starting/ending point, distance and difficulty. If
you would like be added to ride email list contact:

TCRC ride message board, where this and other rides are
listed. Rides dependant on weather.
Monday:
for new riders (beginning March 29th, 2010)
Recovery from race weekend, and
for new comers who do not have a clue about road riding.
Bring a friend, Easy pace 10-11 miles an hour, and 45:00 to1
hour long.

Tuesday
Pack Rides:
Where:
Lamar School, at the intersection of Cherokee Rd. and Hwy 81
between Jonesborough and Erwin. 10 minutes from ETSU.
When:
"A" Group (Fast Riders) 6:00 PM, "B" Group (Beginners and
Intermediate Riders) 6:05
starting on March 30, 2010 with the annual 1 Lap Time
Trial.
Regular pack rides will begin Tuesday, April 6th and end somewhere
toward the end October.
How:
This is a handicapped ride with the faster "A" riders
starting first. If you are new to the ride please ride in
the first group of the "B" group until familiar with the
circuit. Please click

read for help in understanding
pace line riding. The ride is 2 circuits of
the 10 mile, flat to rolling course.

Thursday Night Ride from ETSU: Begining April

Group “B” -- This is
a
recreational ride
of an easy pace for
fun. 27 miles easy pace. This is not
a training ride. Meet behind Knight’s restaurant
by ETSU, leave at 5:30pm, no drop, we will be stopping
to regroup, average speed 16mph., you should be able to
complete a 30 mile ride, flat repair tool kit
recommended. After the ride, we will be spending 15
minutes covering various bicycle maintenance topics.
There is also a social time at Knight’s after the ride.

Group “A” -- Meet behind Knight’s restaurant by ETSU,
leave at 6:00pm. This is a faster group of riders and
may or may not wait on dropped riders.
